So I know Brown is coming off an injury plagued season and may need more time to get up to speed.
I also know Raymond is a freshman who was playing against either a worn out D, or Howard's depth players.
And there is also the style factor with Brown being a physical change of pace back that could be seen as a better complement to Monangai then Raymond.
But while I thought Brown's play against an lower level opponent was pretty meh, Raymond came in, and like Monangai, looked electric. On 19 carries Monangai had 5 carries of 10 or more yards. Raymond had 3 on 6 carries. Brown had 1 on 14 carries.
Am I overlooking the 30+ yard TD reception for Brown. I admit I am. And I'm not saying that right now Raymond should be the RB2. But I do think that the potential for that to happen at some point this season should be on the table.
