Hoping for 8-6 ..... but would settle for 6-8 (up to 5-9) . The two game skid against StoneHart may have been a dagger (winning just one -especially the lack of in bounds game- still pisses me off).

Which remaining games do you think are most in play for the "W"? Here's mine.

Very optimistic. Having RU win 6 of 7 remaining home games, plus 2 road games, for 8 games more, in all.

If RU could win SIX (6) more games - including 1 road game, I think we should all be pretty happy with the progress of the program. That would be 7-11 in conference, and 17-14 overall, before the Big Ten tourney.

Not sure that RU has a strong chance of even winning 6 more games - though I will be rooting like heck for it to happen.

Hoping I' m right ....

Last night's win could have very easily gone the other way so I am still very worried about which team is going to show up each night. Way too many questions about RU to be sure of anything.

I’m with jelly here

Until I see us shoot better night in and night....7-11/17-14 is the higher end goal and 6-12/16-15 is probably more realistic

Tell me we shoot 45% for the remainder of the season ? Then. We are 9-9/19-12 and maybe 10-8/20-11

Rutgers probably will be the underdog in every road game and to have any chance for a winning season they must win at least one on the road. I think 4 more B1G wins is possible at home assuming the team can score at least 65 points per game.

I love this board. Beat Seton Hall--we have a chance at the Tourney!!!

Lost to Stony Brook and Hartford--BURN IT ALL DOWN IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN HERE WHAT IS A PROCESS I WILL NEVER WATCH HOOPS AGAIN!

Beat Wisconsin... WE ARE GOING TO GO NINE AND NINE IN CONFERENCE...

No place like it!

The sooner you could play maryland and northwestern, the better.

Teams like Indiana are hard to predict.

Does this current RU team play to the level of their opponents? If so, the conference schedule might be what's needed.

Let's see what happens against MSU. Still hard to know what RU is. Eugene Omoyuri is going to fun to watch next year.

MSU is going to destroy us. They are playing way better than they were when they came to the RAC and we haven't played well on the road. It's going to be a bloodbath.

That doesn't mean we won't win other games in conference.

No credit for RU making MSU play poorly?

I could see four wins.

Keys to last night were a Sanders that plays to level of opponents(trend at this point). Very clutch player. Sa and Doucoure just contributting a little more than usual. Eugene being tuned in, and taking opportunities instead of deferring to Sanders, and Freeman.

Rutgers absolutely played a great game that night and forced MSU to play a rock fight. But MSU is on another level right now and I'm not sure RU can keep it close this time.

For sure. I hope its not as bad as Purdue. I don't think it will be.

I'll take a winning record and seeing improvement in Geo, Duke, Eugene and Thiam. This is a stepping stone season. Be prepared for more WTF slumps and hopefully one more big upset victory to get people excited.

Too much crack? .... sticking with my 3 win prediction, so 2 more

Northwestern is abyssal and that’s with Mac back, so that’s 1 (a loss would be an upset to me, but we lost to Hartford so). Illinois I think is 2. Indiana 3. OSU is 4. Beyond that, toss-ups and some losses. Can we (1) beat who were “supposed” to, (2) win half the toss-up games, and (3) Beat 1 team we’re not “supposed” to ... do those things and I’ll be very happy !!!

Given that this team lost to SB and Hartford, I think its given they will lose at least 3-4 of those games that are considered winnable. 6 wins is the high mark.

Like I said last night:

Gotta push those 5/7 point leads up over 10, instead of giving up the 5/7-point runs, otherwise you can't expect to do better than 50/50 in the tight ones. Do we have it in us? I think so. I hope so. Hopefully last night helped!

I would sign for four more wins. This team, although fun to root for on most nights, is still very offensively limited and that's not going to change.

I think last year's team was slightly more talented on offense with Gettys and Nigel and that that team, gutsy as it was, won only three B1G games.

After SHU many thought we would be on the bubble. Than we lost to Stony Brook & Hartford and some thought we were done. Now after beating Wisconsin many think we will be 9-9 in conference. I wish that would happen but every team we play will think we are a very possible win as well. I will be happy if we can win 5 more games to get to 16. Naturally I hope we can win more and I would be thrilled. I think Ohio State and Indiana could be wins but both will be very difficult. I think Ohio State at 12-4 has really improved. Nothing comes easy for RU. We must really bring it every game. I am trying to enjoy the ride but the losses to Stony Brook and Hartford really bothered me. Hopefully we don't play flat like we did in those two games in any of our remaining games.

I think the only positive from Stony Brook and Hartford is the team learned to bring it every game and also to play until the end.

Also I do not think intensity will be a problem in Big 10 games. Besides Purdue and MSU the rest of the teams are not going to overwhelm us with talent.

I think 6 total Big 10 wins.

8-6!

MO

No shot (1) - at MSU

Almost no shot (2) - at Michigan, home to Purdue

Uphill battle (4) - at PSU, at Nebraska, at Maryland, at OSU

Toss-up (7) - home to OSU, home to Iowa, home to Nebraska, at Illinois, home to Indiana, home to NW, home to Illinois.

I’d like to steal one W in the Uphill Battle category, and get five Ws in the Toss-up category. Will we? Hard to say, as I truly think Wisky is a bottom four team this year, so we may be over-valuing that win and underestimating how difficult some of these other home games will be.

8-6 the rest of the way is theoretically possible, but is only slightly less likely than finishing 14-0. If we're talking realistic, I'm expecting to finish out 5-9 to go 16-15/6-12, which really could've been 18-13/6-12 without those two wtf losses. Even with that 16-15 is nice improvement. 6-8 the rest of the way is certainly possible, but I think 7-7 is our realistic celiing; of course, 4-10 is also possible.

Many think we will be 9-9??? We need two seasons to win 9 conference games.

So are 0-14, 1-13...but I'm trying to weigh probability tempered with HOPE.
I'd settle for 7-7 or 6-8 now.

Just need Corey to keep taking J's near the FT line / also pull back hit the 3's. Would like to see him average about 20 ppg from here on out.

Also need Freeman to stop trying to force it up every time he gets the ball (KYK was correct)....and let the game come to him.

Thiam needs to shoot MORE. So does Sa ...YES SA- IMO he's actually looked more than serviceable on both D / O.

Geo needs to gather himself for the rest of this year....so he can be a Moses on a night when Corey or someone else isn't on.

Omoruyi: needs more games like Wisky: score a little, rebound a little, steal an little, rebound a little & ENGERY (a great deal)!

Williams needs to be able to catch / shoot the three or pass it off to reset .

Souf....don't know what to say. He can't shoot, but al least he didn't turn the ball over.

Duke / Doorson: need to toughen up, SNATCH REBOUNDS WITH AUTHORITY, slam when the opportunity arises...rebound, REBOUND, REBOUND / play D.

Sorry...on a digressive rant.

Here's to 7-7!

MO
PS And have the men spend time with CVS / Tyler re.:FT's!!

Overly optimistic IMHO. For example, OSU beat Wisonsin by 25 points and just crushed MSU. I’d love to know how and why you think we can beat them.

Agree...people are nuts..lol

4 B1G wins is progress ...anything above is gravy...

In terms of a range, anything from 3 to 6 B1G wins is possible

I dont think there is anything wrong with feeling optimistic when we win.
Theres nothing wrong with thinking we might be something special after we beat ranked SHU.
And nothing wrong with feeling down when StoneyHart beat us

Coach P is fond of saying we will have good days & bad days.
Its a process

Just get to 16 wins and I will be happy. Winning record is a great place to build from. I don't care how it happens, just make it happen.

6-8 winnable games. I would be happy with 6 more wins. Anything above that is gravy.
