C'mon folks. We're missing a HC, fielding a frosh QB in his first B1G start (on the road), lost our defense backfield to thuggery, and what? You expected a win here? Based on what? You are really disappointed that "magic" did not happen tonight?

Best case, this was a learning experience for the staff and players.

I don't really miss Flood being there... Didn't expect a W. The guys on the team put the team in this situation. Caroo and 5 others. Coaching / recruiting is not getting enough players and depth to overcome this shortfall.

WTF are you talking about? Laviano is a redshirt sophomore and it's his 3rd year in the program.

Agree. We should just fold up the tent and forget the season. Why bother trying to scheme or show up. Let's just hand out participation trophies and call it a day.

Didn't expect a win but I did expect the team to be competitive. That was embarrassing in all aspects.

Excuses. Excuses. Excuses. Do you want to go back to the AAC again too

And who is responsible for all that you just mentioned?

I didn't expect a win. I didnt expect to be embarrassed and non competative from the get go. There were virtually no positives as collectively the team was abysmal. This is a bad team. Thats what we learned tonight. We dont have a qb and our defense is just as bad as we feared

Major step back from last year. We got our butts kicked. Football team is in BAD shape. That's on Flood.

I expected our defense to tackle. I expected our defense to be in position. I expected our QB not to overthrow a 6'6" WR Is that asking much?

I expected this . I know we stink . That's why I posted Hamilton should not even bother this season

Even when Flood is on the sidelines, we are still missing a head coach.
Not winning is one thing, but looking so inept and horrible is something else.
This is Terry Shea football, Part Deux. No excuses, please.

No doubt about it. So much went wrong. But before the game started. And the kids and their handlers were overwhelmed on the road in the rain in front of 110k opposing fans.

Still can salvage something from the experience. It'd be easy to fold. But I don't see that happening. There's a game next week to prepare for.

Incompetent AD, Incompetent Coaching Staff especially the Head Coach and Defensive coordinator. Lots and Lots of excuses! Alumni and residents of NJ do not demand excellence, so this is what Rutgers gets. Just like Flood refuses to pull his QB no matter what, the administration refuses to fire Flood. He is cheap in BIg ten terms. The fans still come and spend money. When they had him dead to rights to Fire him, He got a slap on the wrist. In other words he metaphorically through 6 picks. But hey Rutgers fans are the greatest apologists in all of college football!! Wait till Laviano is a Senior then you'll see.

How many fans were in the shoe tonight?
