Didn't Ash decide to name him the starter? Actually, I can't reconcile it. Help me please.

Ash is being paid over $1mil a year as a head coach of a major college football team and his coaches and job will be scrutinized by his decisions. Not sure but I can guess you are fan with no access to practice, scrimmages or day to day coaching meetings. Reconcile those two things.

So many here are convinced they are better judges of ability than any coaching staff. It's what fans do and not unique to any one fan base.

There are others who take it out on the starter because, although they may not admit it, are actually PO'd because there isn't a better option in the wings.

Finally there are many who still have hurt feelings over the whole Maryland incident. More than one poster has brought it all up again recently.

Let's face it, can you ever remember a time when this fan base was ever happy with a RU QB? I can't other than maybe Savage's Frosh or Hart's Senior year.

You can leave the check at reception and I'll see you next week:smiley:

it is what it is, no use jumping off a bridge, ash makes over 2 mil a year, hes going to go with the guy who best lets him keep his job

You have been killing it the last two days. Great work.
One other thing that is likely causing people a lot of angst--it is a continuation of something that Flood did and was a major thorn in fans' sides with Flood.
Also read/saw that Chris Ash likes to take notes.

How do we know that Chris Ash is not actually Kyle Flood wearing a disguise? He was the master of disguises.

I didn't have an issue with Laviano being named the starter last year. But I had big issues with him having no leash at all. Big difference. Would be shocked if the guy in charge this year is as stubborn as the guy in charge last year when it comes to changing QB's.

If that was KF in disguise there would be a piece of black tape over the "W" on his shirt. As you said "master of disguises".

The backup QB is always the most popular person on any team unless the starting QB is an outright star. (And even then sometimes!)

I said the same thing in another forum. Flood is still running the team. Ash is just a front man.

If you accept that Ash is a successful and talented coach, then you should accept that he knows more about football than you do, and that he has access to the best information, and therefore that his decision is the right one.

The end.

It's a grand conspiracy including Urban Meyer and Greg Schiano. Meyer and Schiano and feeding Ash tips from Flood's playbook. It's part of a plot to keep Rutgers down.
exactly. Ash is just a puppet. Fire Flood for real this time.

Tell your kid not to play QB. This is what can happen if he wins the starting job and you may need to wear a disguise to games.

They definitely boo'd McMahon too.
Yes...they definitely did. Didn't he come back from a shoulder injury and had to run for his life ala Savage?

The only QB that I don't remember being booed was Scott Erney...but my recollection might not serve me well. I just don't recall anything specifically directed at Erney.

Where's the meltdown? I must have successfully screened out all the board crazies because all I'm seeing most is mild disappointment. And that's few and far between.
