Refs destroying the national championship game

Tremendous job by UNC to overcome all of the distractions brought on by the cheating accusations to win a national championship.

One foul on Karanowski should have been on Tillie. Tillie slammed the NC guy across the arm with about 8 minutes to go. Karanowski was behind him. It was a joke. The refs missed at least 2 definite walks on NC as well as the Meeks touching the ball out of bounds in the last minute. The refs completely ruined this game with their calls almost every few seconds in the second half. This was probably the most sloppy final NCAA championship game I have ever seen. The cheaters should have been punished at least two years ago and they should not even been able to play in the tournament. The NCAA is a farce. How many more years will it take before a conclusion is arrived at on the cheating by North Carolina.

Reactions: Loyal-Son
Gonzaga beat WVU and South Carolina, two teams that play way more physical than UNC-CHeat. Ridiculous how bad the refs were all around.

Listening to Sirius college radio on way home from work this afternoon Mark Packer, Tom Brennan (former coach at Vermont), and Dan Dakich were ripping the officiating for interfering with the pace of the game and excessive ticky-tack calls. Apparently the number of foul calls on each team and number of free throws was exactly equal so you can't necessarily say one team benefited. But their complaint was more it ruined the enjoyment of watching the game as the game just devolved into free-throw shooting exhibition with constant interruption of play.

Disagree, the referees have a job to do and they controlled the game. Big calls which were correct, they don't make the rules just follow them.

The calls they made were wrong! And the one call they needed to review they didnt.
