Remember: Verbal Commitments Don't Count.

I'm making up star rankings, but in my view...

5 star type recruit in Stephen Glasgow
3 star in Robert Cleary
2.5 star in Shane Metzler

After next year half our team graduates and we bring in...

5 star Malcolm Robinson
3.5-4 star Billy Janzer
3.5 star Jake Benner

I was looking at rankings and once the Senior class clears out Janzer should be ranked in the top 3 in his weight class nationally.. his stock could rise dramatically his sr year.

Janzer is a legit '4-star' kid. He beat two true hammers on his way to the championship.

So by my count we have 5 spots to fill for the current year (assuming 1 transfer), and 9 spots to fill the following year (assuming no transfers). Staff has a LOT of work to do.

I agree completely. His only losses this year were to Mehki Lewis of all people and I believe Mandarino at SJ Duals. Two very good semifinal/final wins vs. McLaughlin and Mandarino. He's struggled with the top kids throughout his career, but has been neck and neck with them, finally breaking through this year. I think by next year he'll grow into a completely dominant figure, which is what I'm hoping to see. And that to me would bump him to a high 4 star instead of just barely a 4 star. Either way I think he's going to be a very productive college wrestler.

And no, I've never looked at the rankings with Janzer or any of our kids. I live in Gloucester County so I get to hear about these kids a lot in the papers and online. I just go by feel.

Go get the #1 @ 145, Jarod Verkleeren, who was released from his NLI by ISU. Have Glasgow convince Lewis to request a release from VT & get him too. :grimace:

Anyone have recruiting info?

I remember looking at Dave McFadden's ranking his jr year. He was ranked in the teens, same as janzer, but almost all the wrestlers ahead of him were sr due to graduate. When the next year rolled around McFadden Started ranked in the top 5 of his weight class(he is now a sr). He attended some national tournies and did well and his stock skyrocketed All the way into a top 20 class recruit. I predict a similar trajectory for Janzer actually.. have a good feeling Janzer will make an impact at RU
