I know some will say who cares and some will say we'd still love to have them (obviously we would), but I thought some would be interested to know that Ahmir Mitchell and Ron Johnson dropped pretty far in the newest Rivals 250.

Mitchell fell from 51 to 102, and here's what Friedman had to say about the drop: "Mitchell is one of the best athletes in the country and had a good performance at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge, but from then until now hasn't been as good. At Ohio State's Friday Night Lights camp, Mitchell could get open with ease but had some problems catching the ball. More than anything, that's the most important part of being a receiver."

Meanwhile, Johnson saw an even bigger drop, going from 109 to 222: "Johnson is a pure edge rusher with great explosiveness off the line of scrimmage. He has a good rip move to the outside and can keep his balance while staying low to get around the offensive tackle. However, if the offensive tackle can get his hands on Johnson, the New Jersey native has a hard time recovering. Size and strength are a bit of a concern as a defensive end, but his athleticism can't be denied. Look for Michigan to take advantage of that at the next level."

Some other notable names that we are/were recruiting in the Rivals 250 are Rashan Gary (2), Kareem Walker (21), Naseir Upshur (71), Dwayne Haskins (88), Jarrett Guarantano (107), Trevon Diggs (120), Cam Chambers (147), Karamo Dioubate (156), Tino Ellis (170), Chase Claypool (196), Brad Hawkins (224), Koby Quansah (226), Clark Yarbrough (237), and last but most certainly not least...Patrice Rene (248)!!!
