With a change of coaches comes decommits .It is what it is. He was a Flood guy.
Why on earth would anybody commit to that infested sewer of cheating and corruption? I am not bitter about Rene. It is a general question.
Plus Chapel Hill is a very nice place.I would assume that its still a sexy brand for young people. That color is associated with them and pretty much no one else. People really don't seem to harp on the fraud story, at least a fraction of the way people harp on Sandusky.
What is the status regarding the investigation?
Is it over or will a determination be made in the near future?
No, you misunderstood. People were saying you suck and ....Wait, so he's in the ACC now? But so many here say the ACC sucks so therefore he must suck....can't have it both ways guys.....
No, you misunderstood. People were saying you suck and ....
Other than its lack of institutional integrity, lack of athletic integrity, and lack of academic integrity, UNC is a terrific place.
As for the pending NCAA punishment, the Heels reckoning is near. Five Level One infractions as outlined in the Notice of Allegations including lack of institutional control, spanning two-decades, involving Men's BB, FB, and other athletic programs. Hundreds of fake "no show" classes, forged grade changes, etc. all resulting in keeping athletes eligible to play, while their competition was burdened by ethics, rules, class work, grades.
The NCAA went after UNC for Impermissible Benefits, mind you. Not Academic Fraud. Believe what you will. But all indications point to significant sanctions, vacated wins and retracted championships.
It's kinda strange.Just to be clear here, the guy who said he was committing to Rutgers for the education is now switching his decision to UNC, home of the no classes, fake classes and made up degrees??
As a reminder, his quote from his commitment announcement:

:flush: So much for the whole 'academic' angle thing.Just to be clear here, the guy who said he was committing to Rutgers for the education is now switching his decision to UNC, home of the no classes, fake classes and made up degrees??

Guys, let's be real here. The football team is involved in systemized cheating, but nevertheless, UNC is a fine academic school. Rene has an excellent opportunity to get an education if he chooses to do so.
We've gone over this before. The academics thing is something these guys know they are supposed to talk about. So they do.
So you're saying they sell stronger proof alcoholic beverages down there?Their co-eds are better looking-and easier to get in the sack.
How can a "fine academic school" allow this nonsense to happen, for decades?
After six internal reviews and only after it was cornered does this "fine academic school" actually concede that it had, in fact, been allowing athletics to corrupt its academics, with academics as a willing participant?
And at no time did this "fine academic school" come forward with a self-imposed punishment or apologize for its cheating or make reparations to those schools it cheated out of victories, championships, and $.
And its FB and BB HCs continue to lie to recruits and their families, stating that their programs were not part of the scandal and that their programs are not in jeopardy as a result of the NCAA NOA.
1) Pinehurst is a wolpfie, first and foremost. 2) The "scandal" is all they have to live for 3) Raw-lee is going to implode when none of the wolpfie fairy tales come true.
Oh really? On the academic front? Rutgers handled the situation right away and dealt with it by fining, suspending and ultimately firing Flood. All of the problems on the team were dismissed right away. Quite a huge difference. But, the self-loathing part of the fan base wants to drag us down to UNC's level. SMH.Hey Shift, We didn't exactly have a Nobel prize winning year either.Be careful who you drop your morality bombs on
