Well, it was called a fumble on the field and the call was upheld on the replay. It was not confirmed meaning that there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the original call. It was a tough break.
Hard to tell but our section all thought it was an easy call reversal. I like how the board operator (after the upholding of call) did super slow-mo and froze it on the moment his knee was down (and it sure looked like the ball hadn't been pulled out yet).
Not sure what angles the booth was looking at because it was a clear visible sightline so it should have either been reversed or confirmed (and not just we don't have enough to overturn)
From what I saw on TV he def looked like his knee hit the ground well before the fumble. The REFs did kinda suck,,esp some of the spots after runs.....
