Really sad news, perhaps the greatest all time St. Peter's basketball player, Elnardo Webster, Sr. died today in the middle of their NCAA tourney run.
He led the Peacocks to the NIT semifinals in 1968, I'm pretty sure he also held the single game college scoring record at MSG for decades.
After his basketball career he became a successful educator in New Jersey and was on the St. Peter's Board of Trustees.
He was also the dad of RU football great Elnardo Webster, Jr.

I checked the basketball board and round table before posting, but didn't think to check the football board, then I couldn't figure out how to delete this thread. Anyway, Elnardo was an old friend and I figure it's not so bad to mention him on the hoops board too.

Webster made his own indelible mark on the program in his two years at the school, averaging 25 points a game on the 1967-68 season and 24.1 point a game in 1968-69.
