I don't get it with Desi Rodriguez. The first half just ended with Marquette up by one and Rodriguez goes into Marquette's bench to again try to instigate a fight. This is at least the fourth time where he has almost provoked a fight and I have not seen all of their games. Walker is shooting his mouth off for the last 3 minutes. Even Bill Rafferty and Johnson both said the kid needs to just play and stop woofing. I cannot understand how Willard cannot control these guys. Those 2 guys plus Powell are all loose cannons.

I rarely watch Seton Hall but how many times can one stomach the pathetic antics of Rodriguez and Powell?

Bunch of punk thugs & they lose to Marquette, serves them right, totally out of control team with a coach who has no backbone

another loss....down to 17-7, it would be fun to watch an implosion...just 6-5 in league, they have a lot of top 25 and 50 wins so they would have to really tank to miss ncaa

7 games left.... 5 tough games at Xaver, at PC, at SJU and home to Nova and Butler with games at Gtown and home to De Paul that should be wins

Honestly, Willard is an awful coach. Nobody does less with more.

Rick - I actually think Willard has grown as a coach. Not a star, but solid. The problem for SHU is that it is not an attractive place for most kids. As a result they have to bring in talented kids that may not be the easiest individuals to control. It is a dilemma and it shows in their results on and off the court.

Seton Hall is what happens when you have nothing but a basketball team to represent your school. They will do anything to recruit top players and then give them the keys to the asylum and allow them to run amok. It is another Louisville but with much less on the court success. And let's not forget that Willard is a Pitino protege.

I have often wondered just HOW they can get a talented player to agree to attend
it has to be a hard sell
At least Louisville has a nice campus
and is nationally recognised as an institution

There was no mystery as to how they got the current group that are now seniors. They hired Tiny Morton.

I think it’s the opposite. They just recruit selfish basketball players. Shy is a fine school academically. Kids see a team that has won a little bit. Coaches will do whatever it takes there. When you do that, you get a certain kind of entitled player. Willard does a very poor job controlling his players.

It’s really a shame that those kids just can’t shut up and play...and I don’t have a rooting interest in the hall as a RU fan

They have the basketball toughness and skill to make a real run the the ncaas ...definitely good enough to make it to the second weekend and then let the chips fall where they may

But they let their focus (like at the RAC) get away from them...and a couple of players just can’t just shut up and play

Shame for them .....because it’s there for them, it’s a senior team and its now or never, and they are threatening to blow it over nonsense

Truer words have never been spoken.

What they said above. SHU has the talent to go the Sweet 16. They could also flame out spectacularly as a team full of uncontrollable head cases.

Not sure what's worse. SHU's bad attitude? Or OP's all-italics post? :flushed::grimace::thumbsdown:[poop]:boxing:[sick]:eek:

I'm sorry. I don't know how it became all italics. I noticed it but didn't know how it happened or even how to switch it.
