Also...Michigan State's six games left are at Nebraska and against Michigan. We have to take care of business against Illinois. The eighth spot is anybody's to grab.

RU wins the first game today 8-3. Next game at 3:30. Winning 2 of 3 a must , a sweep would be great.

I attended. We lost 7-5 in the second game which really hurt our chance to make the BIG tournament. Today might be doubtful with the rain but hopefully we can play the third game and get a W. It will be tough on the road at Minnesota and at NW.. Yesterday in game two we had so many chances. One guy was thrown out at home running from second on a line single in the outfield by Carter. I thought for sure he would score. We also killed two innings by grounding into double plays. In the 8th when trailing 6-5 we got a Campbell single and a hit batter to lead off an inning. We than could not put down a bunt with a guy winding up with a strike out. The next guy hit into a fielder's choice with a force out at second making first & third with two outs. Carter than grounded to first. We just can't get the hit or put down a bunt to help us score. It seems as if these type of things have happened all season. We are now 18-29 and 6-11 in the BIG.

Amazing that at 18-29 and 6-11 we still have a shot at the conference tournament while in Lax we didn't make it despite being a Top 12 program. I realize its different but whether they make it or not does not change the reality of where this program is right now.

Wow , what a comeback, down 7-4 going into the bottom of the 9th, and RU rallies for 4 big runs and WINS 8-4. Chris Cambell (guy in the bright Orange Tux at the R dinner, lol) with the game winning RBIs ! Before him Martinez knocked in 2 !
Huge comeback ! Need to go out to Minn and at least split with them.

I am glad the Big 10 is making you go to Minny and play. NU needs you to win 1 at a minimum from them. All Big 10 results are by winning percentage and not wins. Minnesota needs the games(and to win them) to get their percentage above Maryland and Nebraska if they would win out. Rutgers didn't want to go but Minnesota cried to the Big 10 and they forced them to play at 2. Minnesota based its case on why RU didn't make it when the games were suppose to be played. I hope you sweep both because NU will figure out a way to loose one.(or 2, or 3) ha
