What he lacks in speed and shooting ability?
Think of him as the classic, traditional point guard. He's very good, and just what you need. I'd love to have him at Seton Hall, but we went all in on another very good PG, thought we had him, and then lost him to Pitino Jr.What he lacks in speed and shooting ability?
His profile sounds like J. Kidd. What he lacks in speed and shooting ability?
His profile sounds like J. Kidd.
Having watched RU basketball the last couple years, yes they could use shooting, but man they need savvy and IQ above all else.
The team has been beyond ugly and it's not due to lack of athleticism. If this kid comes aboard, then you surround him with the athletes and shooters.
Ok, Alvardo is 6'4" as well. Obviously I'm not saying this kid is a future HOF'r like J Kidd was.J. Kidd was around 6'4" and was the one of the top recruits in the country, if not the top guy.
Would be par for the course in terms of Rutgers and top recruits.BK on the BBall board expressed some concerns last night that he may end up at GTech.
Article says he's 6'0".Ok, Alvardo is 6'4" as well. Obviously I'm not saying this kid is a future HOF'r like J Kidd was.
But Kidd was not a shooter, and he was not the quickest PG out there(though he did play at a very high tempo). What he was, was a big PG who was above all, Savvy.
He's a lock for RU. He's a great get. He's under 6'.
Sounds like GT, all expects changing from RU to GT now...some twitter quotes make it look bad for us too.
Simply amazing how consistently wrong these premature posters are- nothing but a bunch of attention whores
The mantra for this board remains:
Never have so many known so little about so much
Mush looks an awful lot like Mr. TV.
Georgia Tech probably pointed out to him that they've gone to the NCAA Tournament eight times since we last went. Talk about not having done much in a long time. What hurts here is that Pikiell was so personally involved and yet the player opted to go 1000 miles away to a program that hasn't done much in a long time.
Big Ten Build Fund Progressbuild the practuice facility and do the RAC renovation and it just might help recruiting..[eyeroll]
bye the way..have those Tax credits lesniak landed expired yet for the RAC project? WTH is going on with that whole mess? has this become like a CIA secret?

For all intents and purposes Mr. Marcus did not intend Rutgers; just ask him.And that Home Depot Founder and Rutgers alum Bernie Marcus donates a lot of $$$ to Georgia Tech:
