Important:

Since Rutgers and Maryland jumped to the Big Ten, BTN's sub count has risen to some 60 million households, up 15% from the 52 million customers it reached at the end of the 2013-14 academic year. But it remains to be seen if BTN can flip the script and begin expanding in the opposite direction. (The westernmost Big Ten school is located in Lincoln, Neb,, which is practically the geographic center of the U.S..)

"We're looking west of Nebraska to make sure people can see the kind of games we can offer," said Mr. Silverman, who notes that BTN is carried on Time Warner Cable in Los Angeles. "But we are very happy with our distribution. We think the Big Ten is the one true national conference. Our alums are everywhere. The SEC is just a regional conference in terms of its alums and where they live. We truly have a platform and a fan base that will allow us to be the leading collegiate sports network."

Love it.
This is the B1G, through BTN responding to the recent negative press where the theme was "Oh boy, the Big Ten must really regret adding Rutgers".

LOL someone said Rutgers and Maryland would add nothing to The SEC. If you've got a TV Network and you believe RU and MD adds nothing then you simply lack competence.

does that mean RU gets more from the B10 as a % of the BTN profits or is it a set number until we become full members?

Not sure if it was confirmed if we get:
- fixed $ amount (like $10-11 mil)
- fixed % or amount of shares in the BTN (ie. Neb gets 1/2 share, MD / RU get 1/4 share, and the other 11 get a full share)

Can the B10 show us some gratitude and send us some money so we can clean house this moment?

LOL, whoever said that was right. Rutgers and Maryland do add nothing to the SEC.
I see what you did there.... The SEC Network had their chance but missed out on 60 million house holds. Big Ten just covered with 2 schools what it'll take 8 to 12 SEC schools to cover.
