Also B1G has 7, SEVEN ranked teams out of 9 in FH. RU, MD, PSU, OSU, Michigan, Iowa and NW. Yet another sport that the B1G is elite in.
What changed in the last few years? I may be wrong but I thought that it was one of RU's worst sports just a couple of years ago. New staff? Facilities? Just a few stud athletes coming?
Head Coach Meredith Civico, Maryland grad in 6th season. Steady progress. Last two recruiting classes were excellent.

Taking a look at the coaching staff, there are certainly some impressive resumes. Besides those listed above, there is also the new assistant coach Ajai Dhadwhal, who is the captain of the US Men's Field Hockey team. Not saying the US men's team is particularly good (26th of 85 from the one ranking I see), but still quite the international experience.
Nice to see 2 Universities from NJ in the rankings.
Our HS field hockey teams are very solid and probably only rank second to PA when it comes to rankings on Topofthecircle.

We had an assistant coach from the Netherlands, Roland Peekel, for the past 6 years until this year. We also have two Irish girls who can play.
