Mullins was incredible. Best game performance by a freshman at RU that I have ever seen. 8 goals and 1 assist is getting it done, needless to say. Scary thing is he left one or two more out there. Easily could have been a 10 or 11 goal performance. It was just incredible though. The poise on some of those goals is that which you typically see from an upper classman. That one where he caught it top of the crease right handed, felt the pressure and spun to his left switching hands was a thing of beauty. So smooth. The first one where he beat his guy got top side and felt the pressure getting pushed in the crease instead of being called for a dive. Savvy. Sky is the limit for him. He is playing his way to B1G Freshman of the Year, like Charalambides was last year. That's serious talent we have at that position, and more on the way. Already you can say he is one of the top 5 freshmen in the country.
Hats off to his team mates who were finding him, and him for finishing. He has clearly been working on his game getting better as the season goes on. He and Jules had some serious chemistry. Let's hope it keeps growing.
8-9 matchup vs Hofstra would be an interesting First Round matchup.latest bracketology has 5 big teams in with us the only 1 not hosting

Exactly...we have a 3 game season left to play, plus the B1G tourney. If we win the B1G we would get home field in the first 2 rounds of the tourney. It would. Hofstra smoked us preseason. It was preseason but it was right before the season. Those games hold a little more water. We were missing some guys though so definitely not at full strength. I was told Hofstra was impressive then.
I haven't seen them play but can't comment. These brackets are funny though. There is so much that can happen right now, it's almost pointless to discuss it, at least as it relates to the B1G.

Exactly what I wanted to happen today...a MD win so they won't be pissed off, but a win that pushed them to the limit in Albany.Maryland beat Albany 12-11 today. Hope they wore themselves out.
Maryland deserves a lot of credit for playing that game. They could have easily have just said no thanks after their charter was there in Feb. and had to turn around and head back to Maryland. I am guessing their travel budget didn't allow for another charter so they were forced to travel 7 hours on a bus for a Wed. game right in the middle of conference play.
That's a lot of travel. A light day tomorrow and Friday followed by another bus to NJ on Sat. That's not easy.
