A P5 team is not a sister of the poor. Nice dig though.Great to see the team in a close one at the half pull away against a Sister Of The Poor. Now let's beat the Buckeyes please.

I guess you didn't enjoy the game. Geesssshhhh!Sisters of the poor in sports means a weak opponent.
Wisconsin's record since 2011
11/12 9-20 3-13
12/13 12-19 3-13
13/14 10-19 3-13
14/15 9-20 5-13
15/16 5-7 1-2
I thinks with this record they qualify
Well since your first comment used the phrase "sisters of the poor" the assumption is that you weren't pleased. Did you get nachos?Who said I didn't enjoy?
Rutgers should beat Wisconsin handily given the talent level. No reason that this game should ever be close. I knew Wisky was bad but didn't realize how bad they were. Now if you want to make a statement beat Ohio St. It's not all about beating lower level teams.
For anyone who was able to watch the game, what did we do in the 3rd and then 4th quarter to pull away, besides scoring more
And they did.Rutgers should beat Wisconsin handily given the talent level.
Jesse, thanks. I think teams are going to continue to mostly use a zone defense until we can show we can a) make more outside shots and b) get the ball to our high post player and down low and either drive to the basket or kick it out. What some don't realize is that even against a zone, there are soft spots just outside the lanes on both sides to drive the ball. What I think we need to do more of is exploit those spots in the zone instead of just passing the ball around the perimeter. So Wisc played zone the entire game, even when Hernandez was in, which is when teams usually switch to woman-to-woman against RU. They did massively extend the zone when she was in, so the top of the zone was basically at the 3-point line, to take away her coming off screens. That opened up way more driving room in the center of the zone that our team did a bad job of taking advantage of.
Overall, we got pretty decent shots in the 1st quarter (which we barely scored in). It was just, nothing went in. Rachel missed some easy shots. Our guards missed some open jumpers. And there were a couple possessions where we couldn't get into our offense. But for the most part, we executed up until the part where we had to make shots.
Second half, two things happened. Canty started making shots and we started getting out in transition more off turnovers.
