RU Women's Soccer commit Emily Mason Wins National Girls Soccer Player of the Year Award

RU commit Emily Mason, a Hunterdon Central rising senior, has been named NJ Gatorade Player of the Year. Congrats Emily!

The 2021 class lists 6 commits--1 5*, 4 4*'s & a 2* goalie. All Jersey girls, as are all but one of our #8 nationally ranked class of 2020. There are probably other 2021 commits who are not yet listed.

2021 so junior. She was actually named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the whole country!

I covered Faith Slimmer, another strong 2021 game, this last fall. She was tall and good.

Mason was initially named NJ Gatorade Player of the Year. As Chris posted, yesterday she was named National Gatorade Player Of the Year. Pretty cool. Congrats Emily!!

The last Jersey girl who won this award was Heather O'Reilly who went to school out of state but nonetheless had an impressive career.
