For all the crap that has been said about Suriano recently (selfish, quitter, entitled) he handled his finals loss with complete class and humility. You learn a lot about someone like Nick after a loss. He will be easy to root for next season.
Remember that Metzler came on like a gang buster at the end of the year, which could make us a bit happy if we have to move Suriano up a level. And Aguilar seems like a good wrestler as well. It'll be nice having some options there.

I mean, if we could get a McKenna-type to come to RU, then fine. But I think HWT is a much bigger pressing issue since we have Metzler and Aguilar at 125. Both will probably be good enough at this level to fight for a spot in the NCAAs (hopefully).
I took that as in, he's a junior in high school from Colorado. Not a JUCO from Colorado. But I could be wrong.
Yeah realized that myself after reposting it. That said we have a one year gap, so why not fill it with a grad transfer?
Schultz is a junior in HS, he will be sought after by all the traditional poweres like Iowa, PSU, OSU, Ariz St, Ok St, etc etcl IF RU can get a commit from him, it will be enormous for the program, both for the lineup itself and the optics as well that the program has taken a leap.

Cohlton Schultz would be the best recruit ever by Rutgers..Better then Ashnault, Winston and Suriano (very few are in that class). Penn State 285lb recruit Seth Nevills was a 4X California Champ..He ended his career 169-1 with his only loss to Colorado HS Jr. Cohlton Schultz.

I would say equal to Suriano if we had Suriano for 4 years.
I just think if RU can bring in a National recruit like Shultz it would be Rutgers best recruit ever plus the fact that Shultz was a Cadet World Champ. Pretty sure a bunch of rankings have him as the #1 overall recruit for class of 19'
I'd have to put our odds of getting Shultz as long shot to miraculous miracle. Just look at RU's track record of upper weight AA's. If we do get him, I will be going to church with my wife and expressing my gratitude every Sunday.
I can understand your outlook but there are some pretty good reasons for optimism with Schultz.
I don’t think transfers in wrestling have to sit, so they? I mean 1/4 or so of tOSUs lineup were transfers.
