There was a thread talking about taking the train and then walking to the arena. Consensus from folks familiar with that route was it might not be the smartest thing to do.
Don’t do the walk at night, always people snoopin’ and mean muggin’ on the route nowadays.

I've been told by people who have gone to this arena that the area is really bad. I'm wavering on going.
You scared, 😂

I know this is sacrilegious to older fans - but I couldn't care less about playing Princeton.
Just another non-P5 opponent to me (Class of 2006).

I don't think they are nearly the draw some thing they are.
This 100% and I’ve got 16 years on you. Thanks for saying. And Princeton is such a dangerous team. High risk, no reward, must win

I have been there about 8-10 times and never had a problem. Parking was easy getting into each time I attended and was never really long to get out either. The lots are right next to the arena. I live in north Jersey and am in my seventies and will be there with a friend. Some fans I think just like to complain.

Is it ok getting in and out of the arena? It appears to be a lovely part of Trenton.
Been there for a game some years ago.. vs Rider maybe? Wasn't bad. Parking onsite.. really seemed like a Brendan Byrne arena kinda thing... never felt like I was in the city of Trenton.. just an off-the-highway arena. Maybe it was a weekend game though? Traffic wasn't bad either.

There's a light rail station right there. Maybe there's a way to stay on rial right to/from arena from main train station?

We have 17 home games with a bunch coming up in the next few weeks.

I am still on the fence, but i will see a lot of basketball in November.

The only thing I didn't like there for a basketball game was the "boards" of the hockey rink going through my row. It was weird.. otherwise, not a bad seat in the place. Easy in, easy out. No biggie. Its not a place you'd go to to experience the venue.. it is a place you can easily tolerate to watch your beloved team.

I'd imagine an Eagles game or UCONN "home" football game is more of a threat to your person. Maybe things have changed there in the last decade or whenever that Rider game was... but I doubt it. New Jersey urban communities seem to be more civilized than elsewhere... thank god.

This is a game that needed to be scheduled On a December weekend to make it hapoen with a good crowd….not on a weeknight in November

I’m sure we will have 3000 people rheee as there is a tix purchased not through RU, but it not good t to be a well attended game on a weeknight wirh 6 home games in the next month thsr the fan base will be attending

Play the game in rhe gaeden for Jimmy classic ans theee will be 15000 Rutgers fans there on a weeknight game

This isn’t happening for Princeton in 2023…

Nailed it

If they really wanted a Jersey Jam with a rivalry make it a big deal at 4 on a Saturday with a big shindig outside with RU Princeton student games etc

The issue is its not a rivalry despite what some say

We REALLY make dumb decisions with our schedule, Temple at a neutral site (yes, I know it was originally supposed to be them), Umass on the road, (there’s more in between) and then this dog poop of a game. Game 1, on at a NEUTRAL site against Princeton. Lmfao. This has always been a dumb game. It makes a ton of sense why it’s not selling well. This isn’t MSU at the garden

It’s a terrible drive from Bethlehem. Trenton is a dump. I wouldn’t consider a weeknight trip there unless it was an ncaa tourney game or something similar. I could care less about Princeton. Zero upside to this game from a scheduling standpoint. Might learn some things about playing defense. Hopefully escape with a win.

If you want to see RU at the RAC Monday the women open their season Monday night.
Already gave my ticket away to go to Trenton but I’m sure there are tickets available. Assume parking is free , it was last year and you probably won’t get mugged between lot and RAC

If RU72 is so-called because he graduated in 1972 means he was on campus in 1968.
Princeton was our biggest rival during this guy's early life.
Rutgers College did not have any female students during his time (first class with entering freshman woman was Class of 1976, although some women transferred in and graduated before my '76 class)

Agree. Almost the same as playing Montclair State or Lafayette to me. Not exciting
