I don’t think there are any college coaches considered for a NFL HC job right now. Lincoln Riley was at one time talked about but not anymore. There was an article somewhere about this in the last few months and how it’s not really a pool looked at so much anymore.
Urban Meyer failed spectacularly. Even Saban, didn’t work out all those years ago. Unless you’re like Harbaugh with an extensive and a successful background in the NFL, it’s not likely. I can’t think of any coaches like that in college right now.

no college with any football credibilty would ever hire him either. This is a ridiculous idea. They would never hire a guy who would ruin a #1 pick QB and he would never take a job with less job security than he has now.
GS isn’t comfortable delegating 100% to his staff. His fingerprints will be all over the offense. You definitely don’t want a 1980s/1990s offense.
2 years was enough to prove incompetence and on top of that his players hated him.

But just as a curiosity, GS did work for Chicago as a defensive assistant and DB coach (96-98).
He does have that Bears "stain" from back in the day.
