Rutgers 31 in NET Rankings, LETS GOOO BOYS!!!!

Can someone explain net rankings versus kenpom and the other rankings out there? Why 51 kenpom but 31 net and what’s more relevant

Having only played 2 of 20 big ten games its impossible to set expectations yet, especially with the weak OOC schedule. But I think a post season berth (NIT) is a real possibility this year if we don’t have any major injuries (Geo, Myles)

This is all we can ask for.... we come out of the OOC well positioned that if we can get to the middle of the conference we are being considered for the tournament. Seems like we’ve done that even while not knocking the OOC out of the park. I like where we are. I like our conference home games.

the selection committee uses the NET the most...cavaet, just because you have a high overall NET doesnt mean you are good to go...see NC State last year who had a NET around 30 or 33 but a sos of 300 or so did them in.

Rutgers SOS is nowhere near that. If I'm reading this right from a site, Rutgers was as low as 336 early in the season. Rutgers climbs as high as 55 and now sits at 65 right now. If they maintain something similar to NC State, Rutgers will get in because the SOS is way better.

the only other schools besides Rutgers in the NET top 100 that do not have a road or neutral win are Santa Clara at 85 and Notre Dame at 91
