RUTGERS 8 LOYOLA 0 Mens soccer woo hooo

Suffice to say DD lit a fire under their arsses following the MSU game. Well done!

Don't think DD lights a fire under any of his players to be honest. They are playing better soccer ever since the loss to Syracuse. That game was a mess but the team has rebounded.
There is talent on the roster but It needs to be molded. Some of the talented players hold the ball too long and some don't get the ball enough. The staff needs to work on that.
Saturday is a good test at home against PSU. If we play good possession soccer, move the ball quickly, get the ball back in play quickly on restarts and goal kicks, we can win.

This match was probably a perfect storm. Rutgers had it's most complete match (the back line played well, not allowing too many chances). Loyola was overmatched and Rutgers played more ground attack than they did the past few matches.

Your entitled to your opinion but as someone who grew up with him, playing both with and against him in multiple sports, trust me, he is NOT the quiet guy on the sidelines you see when he's coaching in public. Dan has the kind of fire, within, that enable skrawny kids to kick the shit out of others (on the field of play). He was every opponent's nightmare, quietly getting in your face in soccer as he headed before becoming a BE MVP, leading a team in scoring on the hardwood, or conquering wrestling in a single off-season, while driving you crazy and knocking you down with his talent.

So, you can think what you'd like, and you may be right, but I highly doubt that doesn't translate into his coaching (in positive ways, of course, not negative ones...).
