It is hilarious when results are tallied up across the scoreboard nightly in college basketball that nobody believes this happens elsewhere. It's basketball and in basketball when you have young players, upsets happen.
Kentucky is extremely talented and young and probably a little overrated right now. UNC Wilmington or Greensboro had a lead against them at Rupp arena earlier this week with about 12 minutes to go. Today's score at MSG isn't exactly a surprise to people that follow scores closely.
If RU didn't overachieve in games like Wisconsin or at Miami, i would buy into the whiny fans here 100%....this is the part of the rebuilding process that happens....play well some nights, not so good on others that you should beat.
When you play 30 to 32 or more games in a year this happens 4 to 5 times a year in both directions....it actually happened twice already this year,. Boston University and today vs Fordham....on the plus side , we had what I would consider 3 very good games with Eastern Michigan, Miami and Wisconsin....fans act as if the 2nd half vs Boston didn't happen because they missed a couple of shots and had chances to spring an upset.
I can only say roller coaster so many times....fans are looking a straight line north with no bumps are going to overreact to games like today. I actually think the Boston University game was much worse than today, you run into a guard that's hot and you don't bring your A game, anything is possible.
