Rutgers Baseball vs. Indiana

Lasko nailed runner at plate to limit damage. Huskers led 3-2, but RU has taken the lead 5-3 in bottom ogf 8th.

Is it over? LiveStats still show top of the 9th, one out. I hope it is over!

Now showing a final 5-3, RU. The streak continues! 13 and counting.

Thinking Lasko could be a pretty high MLB draft pick.
Was he recruited to RU as a freshman or was he a portal transfer? Just curious if was a hidden gem or we got him in on a transfer after some development somewhere else.

coach is doing a fantastic job. Hopefully there is someone out there with deep pockets to help get a decent stadium built for this coach and his players.

What the heck is with all the Indiana fans on camera behind home plate??

Get there @sses off camera and in the stands to the left of the pitchers view….
Even back in the old Big East days, that section behind home plate was always filled with parents of the visiting team players. I know they dont charge admission but maybe they should make that section premium with a small fee and ticket required. Or just give out passes for that section to players' familes and friends and people who donate to the baseball program.

Looking forward to another 3 game sweep!! This team is amazing and well on their way to B1G championship.

Yes, stadium, for lack of a more suitable word, LOL. I pondered over what to call it. Perhaps our "baseball venue" might be better, since it can cover a wide variety of facilities. Anyway, anybody know how many the "venue" can hold?

Thanks.

RU trails in today's game 2-1 in the bottom of the 5th. What is going on with RU's hitters? They're struggling so far in this series. Does IU have a strong pitching corps? Their overall record isn't that great.

20 would be nice but no, I don't expect that. But just one run after 6 innings just isn't up to the standard that the team itself has been setting and won't win this game. I think people are enjoying this streak and want to see it continue.

IU is just 13-19 overall and 2-5 in the conference. So this would be counted as a "bad loss" by the way things are done in basketball.

baseball and basketball can't be compared. In baseball, the person playing the most important position changes literally every game

Last week Hoosier team E.R.A.was 6.70 so expectations were high that the league leading hitting team would light it up. Not so, at least, not yet.

You clearly not familiar with baseball. They scored 5 yesterday. That is not a subpar output. Todays game isn’t over.

The Indiana Pitcher was given an extra days rest coming in today’s game. That’s huge.
120 pitches so far through 7 full innings. Incredible performance; only one run allowed.

Yes sometimes you don’t hit like you have for over 1 1/2 months. Or your pitching fails. We are 28-6 at this point and this IU team is not a bad team . Actually they had been very good over the years so a loss is not the end of the world. We will lose a few more but I think this club will win more than they lose over the next 25-30 games. If we win 15 more we finish th regular season at 43-21. Did we really expect that outcome? Maybe the team and Owens knew it but the fan base surely didn’t.
