you are so off the mark on this issue. Why do schools have any Olympic sports. Yeh lets just have football, basketball and wrestling, **** everybody else....note the facilities and Olympic sport success of the Big 10 schools

Jesus Bac, nobody is saying we should drop all Olympic sports. Can you honestly justify us having more varsity sports than Texas? Give me one good reason why the school with the LARGEST subsidy should have more teams to fund than the team with the largest budget and profit. Give me an honest realistic answer and I will drop it.

No but they do have sports we do not and you still haven't offered a reason. If you don't want to use Texas than fine. Compare us to other B1G schools and we still have more than we need and definitely more than we can AFFORD

Baseball has been moderately successful while in the Big East. When was the last time they won a conference championship, tournament, went to the regionals or beyond? The CWS? Look, I'm not saying you have to drop all these sports but we simply have too many. Keep baseball and women's soccer and drop softball and men's soccer for example. How about golf and swimming? We have any pros or Olympians coming out of these programs?
