4 are from NJ, one from New Zealand, and two from Germany. Nice to see the staff cast a wide net to bring players to the Banks. This program is becoming a fixture in the Top 20 and hopefully will continue to stay that way.

When I see it on TV, it actually looks pretty exciting. Don’t know why more New Jersey towns don’t have little league field hockey. Certainly seems like it would be more fun for kids than soccer. Might have to have some kind of softer stick for young children. But it doesn’t seem like it would be riskier than lacrosse and youth lacrosse has exploded around the state. Talked to a parent who had a kid that started soccer when he was five. Said he and all his friends started switching to lacrosse by age 12 because they were so bored with soccer. I think lacrosse is cutting into baseball numbers as well.
