Give it a rest already. At this point we don't need another sport and we don't need the enormous cost of an arena. The sports that were eliminated should all be brought back before hockey is ever thought of.

The money would be raised by people donating specifically for a hockey team. Nobody is asking the athletic department to use their own money to start up a new team.

its great that they raise money to start it up, but the university will then have to use money to maintain it and then add womens hockey. Its just not going to happen in the next 10-15 years...maybe 20 years out you have a shot

Absolutely - facility is right there & better than som others in the B1G - RU has a women's team and swimming is one of the rare sports where the competitive level of the women's team can genuinely benefit from the existence of a men's team.
