It says a great deal more about how things are generally run in public-sphere New Jersey than it does about Rutgers, specifically.

Not entirely sure what you mean. I wouldn't say NJ public jobs typically go to the inexperienced.
 
Money for all the above is not nearly as bad as you make it out to be Al. It's not B1G, but it's at least high-end G5 money.
We are not in a group of 5 We are in the BIG Eastern division. 2021 and we can finally do what we cannot right now.

Rutgers is woefully behind the other Big Ten schools in alumni giving.
