And if this kid re-classes to 2017, this would be a double huge get

He looked pretty good in this tape. Are
we in the running? Can he shoot the 3? Looked a little (because of his

From looking at the various recruiting sites it doesnt look like he's going to be a high major. Inconsistencies in some reporting but looks like he is listed with an offer from CCSU from one site and St. Peters on Rivals. Says he's visited or been visited by Fordham, CCSU, Quinnipiac and Yale. Best case scenario is "The Duke" reclassifying to '17 or taking a grad transfer since the '18 class is so loaded
How raw to start? Hamady raw or a little further along? Just curious. Great get either way.
I don't get all the raw talk..He already has post moves. Yes he's newer to basketball than others but he doesn't play that way
I was responding to bdodger's post. He knows his stuff and I trust his judgement. That said, many young front court recruits need time to develop. Let's not get crazy here.
RUPete - I was not paying much attention to RU when Hamady was here, and I definitely did not know anything about him when he arrived at RU. So I cannot make a comparison. What I have seen is that this kid is very athletic. Hi-major athleticism. Except for the truly elite big men, most are inconsistent in the fundamentals (my view of raw). Footwork is not ready for college hoops, and his reaction time appears slow because he is still growing into his body.
That said, Louisville gets a number of these type of players. Well regarded, but not elite coming out of high school. By the time they have finished college they are very good ballplayers. That is the level of athlete we have obtained. It will take some time but this is a very good get for us.
