I read some of the highlights of the so call Rutgers 2030 master plan/blueprint and of course as usual athletics is always put to the back burner. What I don't understand is in this plan they call for what could be up to 3 billion in improvements/renovations over the next 15 to 20 years. Included in this plan are the athletic renovations/improvements that are needed. Somehow when they mention all the infrastructure improvements etc. there is no mention of where this money is coming(nor does it mention private donors) from but when they mention the athletics portion it specifically states that those projects will be funded by private donors. This just blows my mind that they are talking about spending all this money yet when it comes to athletics there is no money and every improvement must be funded by donors. They must have spent and are spending probably 200-300 million at least on the Livingston Campus and also now College Ave. This is the kind of thinking that will keep us small time for a long time
