Puerto Rico isn't "out of the country". It's part of the US.

Too bad about the final 2 rounds being washed out. The top end of the field (ND and L'ville) are ranked in the Top 25. It would have been a great chance to get their mojo and ranking back after the poor showing at the Big 10 Match Play.

Despite the Tourney being shortened to 1 round, the updated Golfstat rankings moved RU's Chris Gotterup up from 21st to 16th in all D1 and highest ranked player from a "northern" school. The next highest ranked B1G golfer is 35th. Rutgers as a team improved from 78th to 69th.

Gotterup is also the #66 ranked Amateur in the US by the USGA and WAGR.

Wow 69th as a team. To quote Gronk, nice. If they can get into the Top 60 they got a solid shot at the NCAA Tourney as a team. Gotterup will be in regardless either individually or as part of the team.

I wonder about that. Not that he doesn't deserve it but from the tiny bit I can tell it appears to be very difficult for a player whose team doesn't qualify to get in. Do you know how the selection process works?
