Ive spent pretty much the whole night since 7ish researching michigan states team this year. Here are 5 things to know and why I think we win this one.

1) They dont have a qb. They are most likely going to start rocky lombardi over payton thorne but regardless of who they start this may be one of the only teams we face this year that has as dire if not more of a dire qb room than us.

2) they only return 3 starters on defense. They have a great safety whos an NFL talent but their DLine is a complete question mark lacking depth and theyre going to be breaking in a lot of new guys who havent all played as one unit together yet. I think our offense could perhaps cover up our OL issues vs them.

3) Their WR group is by far their most talented group. The issue is just they have no one to really get them the ball. They also have a backup punter running as the 3rd tight end haha.

4) Their OL is returning starters but dont let that make you believe theyre good. It has been described by their writers that, the only reason theyre returning starters is because someone had to start last year. Their RT jordan reed is opting out and the only position they really know for sure whos going to play is LT. I think Greg will draw up some great pressure packages and give this OL hell.

5) Coaching. We have the edge coaching wise. Both staffs are brand new staffs and had little time to prepare their teams. We have a group of great intelligent detail
oriented coaches who will have our guys ready to rock.

A great podcast to listen to if you want info on MSU is “locked on spartans”. Youll find team and position group previews there.

Rutgers 24
Michigan State 13

We will win the field position battle and Korsak will play a huge role in this win. Special teams and defense will turn into points.
