Rutgers University Chancellor Nancy Cantor told staff and students in an email she “hoped to remain” at the institution to continue her decadelong work, a day after Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway told staff he’ll be replacing her next summer.

Rightly or wrongly, Cantor was disliked by many. She had been the chancellor at Syracuse and some felt she did not adapt well to being a subordinate. OTOH, it is hard to put much faith in the University's selection process given that an absolute zero is now chancellor at Camden.

Cantor was a headache internally from day one. Not surprised her term is not being renewed.
