Rutgers now has the Biggest Front Court in the Big 10

With 5 players 6'9 or taller...however, one of those in Issa Thiam is a SF. Still, that's a lot of size. We won't see a 6'7 Laurent guarding a 7 footer.

What a difference a year makes.

For most of the season last year, our five tallest players were:
Lewis: 6-9 (and battling injury)
Foreman: 6-8
Laurent: 6-6
Grier: 6-4
Daniels: 6-3

This year, it's:
Doorson: 7-0

Diallo: 6-10
Thiam: 6-9
Sa: 6-9

And when Laurent missed a few games due to the concussion....it was even worse. You are so correct....what a difference a "close to full " roster makes.

It ain't the year the made the difference, it's the coach that is making the difference.

I don't think you will see a team get more total rebounds than RU's total points, for the game, this year.

Cali, could you give it a rest. Coach Jordan is no longer the coach, it's disrespectful and incongruent with your generally informative approach to posting.

We stood no chance last year after losing all that size. Having the big bodies alone will raise our win total and make us more competitive in loses. Can't wait to see the team this year. This is legitimately exciting

Let's hope that everyone stays healthy this season. I think this team can surprise some people (and us, in the process).

Definitely good to see. Still, not a ton of D1/big ten experience there. Just being objective.

Nonetheless, I like where we are headed.

Coach P is proving we CAN get BIGS and TALENT to come to Rutgers.
If you told me we would be the biggest in the B10 I would NOT have believed you.

I am pleasantly optimistic for the 1st time in a LONG time.

One thing you can't teach is how to be big. This will make a significant impact.

Are you trying to say that a Division I coach can't teach up the skill level of players???
If that's the case then he shouldn't be the coach. You always look for your team to improve during the course of the year. That should be one of the major criteria when evaluating any coach, in any sport. That's one of the things that makes Izzo so good. His teams are always better in the Tournament then they are in December.

I'm saying the RU coaches of the last 30 years haven't been able to do it, and if this coach can't, all the size in the world won't even translate into being competitive, let alone wins.
