Rutgers Practice Report: How did the quarterbacks play

There may officially be a four-way competition to decide who the next Rutgers starting quarterback is, but it's really down to two, redshirt sophomore Chris Laviano and junior Hayden Rettig.

Those two got the vast majority of the reps as the Scarlet Knights conducted their first of two live scrimmages on Saturday afternoon at High Point Solutions Stadium.

QBs Laviano, Rettig move forward

I'm more excited about all the receivers who seem to be stepping up, particularly Agudosi who seems to be coming into his own. A 6-5 receiver opposite Carroo, whether it be Agudosi or Patton is great for a young QB in his first year starting. This team is certainly going to have weapons on offense.

I agree sct1111

Agudosi stepping up and becoming a legit part of the offense this year could be a bit of an X factor that nobody has really talked about a lot. It will be exciting to see if he continues to focus and work hard and earn his way into a lot of meaningful snaps this season!

Author Josh Newman needs better fact checking. They were in the same recruiting class and both are redshirt sophomores.
