Quick question for the board. I have something to do on the morning of October 12 That I would like to do but RU football takes precidence. Does anyone have an idea of what the Kickoff time could possibly be? I know that there are a few people on here who are really good at figuring this stuff out. Any inklings as to possible start times?

USC hosts State Penn and UCLA also has a home games that day. Plus Oregon hosts Ohio State (almost definitely 7:30 on NBC).

Due to that, I agree that it's likely to not be a night game.

So probably the two best games from a TV standpoint that weekend are OSU-Oregon and PSU-USC.

Neither one of these will be the noon fox game since they’re both west coast games and would start at 9am..which FOX said they’re not going to do.

I’d say if we both remain undefeated we’ll be the noon fox game. Which would certainly be our best tv placement in years.

I mean for a Big Ten Game .
Washington is at Saturday Night
Nebraska is Away
UCLA is a 3:30 start for homecoming
USC is Friday Night

Wisconsin seems to slot in nicely as a nooner
Don't show up Saturday for the Washington game, Al.

Hoping homecoming will be 3:30 pm, which has happened in the past.
I’m pretty sure we haven’t had a single 3:30 PM homecoming start since we’ve been in the conference. I could be wrong but either all or all but one have started at noon.

That being said there was supposedly a handshake agreement that USC and UCLA would not have to play noon games when coming to the East Coast. That may or may not have changed once Oregon and Washington were added into the mix.

B1G does not give two sh*ts about homecoming. They didn't in the past and they still don't.
I agree, B10 only cares about tv numbers. Stating that, wouldn’t a 330 start in NJ get more eyeballs out west than earlier. Not too many watching in CA at 9;am

That's why I do think we get 330 for UCLA. B1G is savvy enough to understand that they'd get more TV ratings out West with a 330 EST/1230 PDT kickoff for Rutgers-UCLA.

What about our game against USC? It'll start sometime after 11 pm on the east coast. That one's going to get some pretty dismal numbers on the east coast.

Only reason it is that late is because MLB has priority due to Game 1 of the WS. They had first dibs on Fox that night.

Worst case scenario is an extra inning WS game. RU game could end at 4 am. Oy vay

@fluoxetine can probably run the numbers but the chances of both teams being undefeated when they play have to round to lower than like 0.0%. Wisconsin would have to beat Alabama and win @ USC.

Yes. I realized that they had an impossible schedule after I posted that lol. Though more reason to believe IF we’re both undefeated, we will be the FOX game.

I think it’s close to 100% we’ll be a nooner regardless

Per Matt Sarz, there may also be a peacock noon game that week.

My guess:
Fox noon:
Wisconsin at Rutgers or Purdue at Illinois
Peacock noon:
Wisconsin at Rutgers or Purdue at Illinois
BTN afternoon (3 or 4)
Minnesota at UCLA or Washington at Iowa
BTN night (7 or 8)
Minnesota at UCLA or Washington at iowa
CBS at 3:30
Penn State at USC or Ohio State at Oregon
NBC at 7:30
Penn State at USC or Ohio State at Oregon

Using Massey Ratings, Rutgers chance at 5-0 start is currently 3.2% and Wisconsin's chance is 2.0% so the chance of them both happening independently would actually round to 0.1%. So close.
