You can take away some good things from today. I would say this is far from unwatchable. We have been in every match. We just cannot finish the tough ones and we have a few guys that just don't perform the way they should ie McCabe. He wins that match this is a lot closer. Dippery was right there and almost pulled it out, Scott was very equal to that kid but made a bad mistake and got pinned. He needs more experience. If we have Lewis we win 57 and 65. Bakuckas toe to toe vs Natl runner up but Can never finish and you can pretty much write that script. Gravina wrestled awesome for 6 minutes unfortunately Dean got him in last minute. Still love how he wrestles. He went hard after Dean and did not sit back. We are just not good at 97 or Hvy right now. But I think Messner is our best option at 97 if Mulligan is redshirting. Correnti needs to bulk up and be our Hvy in future. That is our least depth or we need to recruit someone

Any big name Heavyweights want a Graduate Degree from Rutgers and to wrestle for a B1G school? Then call Coach Goodale now.

Good post, but thought we came out way to flat in first 3 matches. Dip's first period was to much to overcome. Don't know what to say about McCabe.

Ash is much better than that kid. He got the win which is what matters but letting up to many easy takedowns early in season which is surprising.

HWT: No. 19 Jeramy Sweany (CU) defeats Razohnn Gross (#RUWR) by fall, 4:32. No. 8 Cornell tops No. 10 RU, 28-10.

While I agree that most of the kids wrestled hard, you wrestle who you put out on the mat. Cornell could be saying they win 157 if their starter was in the lineup(after all he did finish 4th last season!). Cornell was missing 3 starters, but injuries are part of the sport. Whoever toes the line is your lineup.

Agree. But Lewis at 57 and Van Brill 65 gives us a better chance even if they had their starter. I think Lewis can wrestle with most anyone outside of top 2-3. We will not win a match at 25, 97, or Hvy against a good team. McCabe is most disappointing to me. Time to move on from him. Wrestle Patrick, Lipari, Paetzell anyone but him. Just not even trying right now. 2 pathetic performances in a row.

And I would agree we were flat but still feel Dippery wrestled tough and would argue he was not Flat Grey is no slouch.

That's the thing with me...we can accept 197 and Heavy struggling as we lost 2 long term starters in Hrymack and Smith. McCabe is a 5th year senior losing to true freshman and backups which is unacceptable to me. Time to find the bench and let Lipari or Patrick start.

What if what if. I can't by that. Grey is a Nat Qua at best. No excuse for Tyson. Ash is in a funk. Lewis is a top 10 guy who when not in there is a HUGE lose. Bak is so hard to watch. We say it every match. I don't care how good Realbuto is the match is tied with 10 sec to go. In 4 years he has yet to close out a match. Coaches must be frustrated. We know what we got up top so again we can't afford upsets down low. Someone please tell McCabe the season started. He hasn't takes a shot in a match yet and shows no urgency. The coaches are screaming for him to score and he puts out no effort. Don't know what else to say.

Dipp did wrestle tuff, he was very close to getting his tilt a few times. Not sure what to do at 125. Might tell me that McCabe beats those other guys(hope he is not beating Paetzell).
