Rutgers vs Ohio State Game Thread !

If Urban starts calling timeouts with less than 4 minutes to go in the 4th, then I would be upset.

I remember when Schiano was chased down by Ron English of UL for running up the score going into halftime. If there's less than 5-7 minutes left in the game and you're still sending everyone in pass patterns 20+ yards down field, and trying to stop the clock at all costs, then I'd understand being upset.

Give him a chance. We are playing the no. 2 team in the country. Whose D forces a lot of turnovers.

Right now I'm looking for good decision making and strong throws. What to look at his passing mechanics too. Want to see a QB who actually steps into his throws.

I am probably Oden's #1 fan. I know we need to have patience with him and I'm excited to see him grow.

But if you're the coach, who do you start against Michigan? I think you have to start Laviano.

Men against boys. Guys are on the ground left and right. Recruiting has to be stepped up

Oden. Laviano is the past. We are unlikely to win that game no matter who starts. Get the kid experience.

Probably Laviano's fault we didn't get a first down there too, eh? Takes eleven players playing well for the team to do well. Simple minded people can only see the QBs mistakes. They can't see the missed blocks, the incorrectly run routes, the bad play calls, the dropped balls, etc.

How did the team do against Howard and New Mexico? That's the right question.

We play in the B1G and how we did against Howard and New Mexico is the 'right question' to you? This might be the dumbest post I have ever seen on here.

Not quite sure what some on this board want Urban to do ?? He's been playing everybody and some of these kids now playing want their chance to show what they can do - including the other QB who might be needed later in the season - who knows. Should Urban just have his QB take a knee and then punt on 4th down ?

I have no issue with that Urban is doing right now.

My issue will be if he decides to continue throwing down field in the waning minutes to get another score.

Honestly, given the opponent, it's a tough call. Based on what I've seen today, this offense just doesn't have much of a pulse with Laviano. When we have a true running threat at QB, I think we have a much better chance of finding success moving the ball. Laviano is serviceable as a runner, but we need better than serviceable to have any chance of sustaining drives against Michigan. I think Oden gives a better chance in the ground game, which should open up the play action passing game.

Lol. Now can we stop the "why is Laviano playing"? nonsense.

Oden has a Loooooong way to go.

Pretty ironic posting about a lack of intelligence when you totally failed to understand the context for the post you quoted. Let me know when you catch a clue.

Had a DE coming free on a twist right in his face. The previous throw to Flanningan was dropped but that was right there. Would have given us 3rd and short.

At least Oden gives us a legit running threat.

We've watched our 4th year Junior skip some throws - with nobody in his face.

If you guys hate your QB that bad.. Only McSorley has lasted an entire game against Michigan (though he was sacked 8 times). So you may get your backup one way or another next week.

Last OSU offensive play they show their backup OL with the patented B1G hold under the shoulder pads. Why can't our guys learn that conference specialty technique?
