Rutgers Women’s Soccer Jumps into Top 15 Nationally

Rutgers women's soccer is ranked No. 15 in the nation in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. It marks the second time RU has been in the top 15 this season, having ranked as high as 13 in the rankings earlier this year. Additionally, the Scarlet knights rank 12th by Top Drawer Soccer.

It is basically a given that RU is in the NCAA tournament. Question is, what kind of seed could be expected if they win the B1G tourney? I think a 2 seed might be optimistic, but who knows. Probably no worse than a 3 seed no matter what happens this weekend.

A 2 seed means RU won't have to travel until the Elite 8.

The problem is the B1G isn't all that highly rated. The ACC and PAC 12 are the big dogs.
