Rutgers wrestling seeks elusive win over top 10 team Sunday against Illinois

The tournament scores likely won’t match 2019 when we had 2 champs (and I think tournament team scoring is stupid and pointless), but this is clearly Rutgers best dual team ever. They should be ranked around 10 next time rankings come out.

All 10 starters can qualify for nationals, 4 former AAs and a few other guys that could realistically get there this year, plus the bench guys at 165, plus Cetta and Soldano could be qualifiers if they started as well.

I think it was Nebraska around 2016.

College Wrestling: No. 11 Rutgers upsets No. 4 Nebraska

NICHOLAS GRAVINA AND NO. 11 RUTGERS WON ITS FIRST BIG TEN GAME OF THE SEASON IN AN UPSET OF NO. 4 NEBRASKA.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – By the time the clock ticked to zero, Nicholas Gravina admitted he wasn’t sure who had won the 184-pound bout. He was quickly reminded by the 2,652 fans cheering on their feet at the Rutgers Athletic Center.

Ok... What i wanna know is... Who was that "kid" in the black sweatshirt + hat that jumped on the mat behind the ref and "Jersey Saluted" the Illinois bench???? WNG???? Care to chime in?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A couple of questions after that great match yesterday. First, towards the end of the match, there was a guy behind the scorer's table and about ten rows up in the stands, in the aisle, who was holding two fingers up and waving them at the scorer's table. It got Goodale's and other's attention. Goodale then said something to the scorer's table and held to fingers up. What was that about? Second, is there anyone here who saw the match live and/or replays that didnt think Poz had the takedown at the buzzer? I thought for sure, replay would have given it to him.

I was at the match. I think I recall the guy you are referring to but don’t remember what it was in reference to. Maybe the number of cautions called? I know there were a few match, maybe SCW where a wrestler had 2 cautions.
I was hoping they would give Poz the TD but watching live I didn’t think he had it

I was a little surprised the match wasn’t more crowded. We were in the 200 level behind the scorers table and it was pretty open up there. Also parked for free by the student center, like 2 min walk into Jersey Mikes
