Rutgers Wrestling vs Purdue / Updates and Results Thread

Purdue scores an upset in OT with 1 second left ... PU leading 3-0

I thought the basketball guys could be one-sided – but these wrestling announcers are not making much of an attempt to hide their affinity for Purdue.

Giraldo has lost about 4 matches this year, where gives up at the last couple of seconds..uhhh!!.Ash looked much better..still looks hurt though. He'll get there.Donny knows how too peak his wrestlers.

He never got off the bus for that match not sure what was going on there.

It's so great having these announcers. They not only know the parents of our wrestlers but are even giving shout outs to the grand parents.

Pfaumi is wrestling up a weight. Showed a lot of guts being 10 pounds undersized. He stepped in for an injured Gravina.

Nice road win , BUT they need to stop losing in the 3rd period by close margins.

Perrotti gets 'Wrestler of the Match ' nod from the Big10 crew. The kid he pinned, Welch, was ranked 7th in nation !

Nice win over a decent squad...anxious to see who Rutgers hosts in next weeks National Dual championship, would love to see them face local school Lehigh as a warm up for the Big Ten Championships...

How many wrestlers do you guys think qualify for nationals?

As of right now"shoe in guys" I would say are Ashnault,Lewis,Perrotti, and Smith.Decent shots at making it: Giraldo,McCabe ,Gravina and Bakuckas Long Shots :Hyrmack and Dippery..I think we will send 6-7.

If Gravina was healthy, I'd put him in the shoe in category. Pissed that he's not 100% because a few weeks ago he seemed like a dark horse AA candidate.

I'm not critical of our guys, but McCabe can't get out if his own way right now.
