The NCAA caved when the DOJ started investigating. The NCAA caved under pressure from the SEC but when a couple lawyers got involved they realized they didn't have a leg to stand on and where going to look like fools. The ban was only going to hurt high school kids that can't afford to travel all over the country to different football camps. I read an article that 90% of the players that attend these camps are not even D1 prospects who are simply trying to learn more about football from top notch coaches. The NCAA and SEC look foolish in the whole thing.

Now if DOJ could rattle the NCAA's cage to get serious about University of No Classes that would be a good use of government resources. The NCAA caved when the DOJ started investigating.
Brooklyn NY, Houston TX, The DMV and North Jersey more like it.
The school are the NCAA. How do you break away from yourself? Athletic directors who represent schools and conferences voted for this. It was not some NCAA rule maker that decided this. This is about as stupid as saying the United States needs to dump congress and the senate when all they would do is set up a new one with the same politician in office. The NCAA should die a terrible death...seriously, schools need to break away from this bullshit.

This is a good thing for us even though our fans obsessed with Harbaugh think otherwise. Remember it was GS who caught flak on this for having camps in Florida. Hopefully Ash takes advantage.
...Schiano's Florida camps were banned around 2007, and as far as I know, still are. I confess that I don't understand the distinction between these types of camps.
I love Coach Ash, but he's not doing what Harbaugh is doing. Bottomline, Coach Harbaugh is outworking Coach Ash.
Hard to get outworked when the other guy is playing with a budget 4 times as big.
