Why can't we give Schiano a long contract and backload it knowing we will be getting Big Ten $$$
I think it's clear Schiano wants to eventually be thought of along the lines of a Petrno, Meyer etc (as in a winner and powerful). Maybe he thought he deserved it before he actually did and has been humbled.
Now with being in the Big Ten, knowing he can recruit with the best of them now that he has that card, maybe he comes for 2.5 million with gradual increases with a 6-8 contract.
I'm not going to pretend whether I know if he is the guy or not, as, unlike many here, I'm not going to pretend to know enough about it
