Should we go back to the script "Knights" on our jerseys?

Since we've made a change on the coaching front, and from all accounts, a change in the support the university will be giving to the program, I think it's time we make a change to the uniforms as well. I think we should bring back the old school Knights script from the late 70s. Not only is it bringing back a nice bit of nostalgia, but it also looks pretty damn nice. Let's make it happen. FWIW, Michigan State sometimes uses a throwback script logo and it looks great.

No thanks. I can't read cursive anymore. All caps block print rules. :)

I prefer not to. Do they even teach cursive in schools anymore?

That was supposed to happen this past season, but Nike wouldn't make them for us. They settled on those shooting shirts.

We are bumping up a tier for basketball this year, so I'm sure some sort of new look will be coming. If they go throwback, I'd prefer limited use, maybe 3-4 times a year max

please no...I dont like the script.

I know we all have our own opinions, so not poo-pooing others thoughts on this. but IMO, the "Knights" in script looks like something that would go on a jersey for the women's team

so, if I had a vote, i would vote NO :)

Thanks for the info BK. For those of us who don't know, what exactly do you mean "bumping up a tier?"

I thought I saw something about our deal ending and that we'll be on the market after this year. That would likely mean a better deal, more $$$ and hopefully perks for the programs.

Yes they should. The throwback jerseys are miles ahead of the brutal modern jerseys they wear. Just look at Seton Hall's throwbacks from this year that were in script. Gorgeous.

IMHO those jerseys represent the Final 4 team and should ONLY be used as a "throwback" here-and-there. Maybe when playing a team or two we played that season, or something similar, who knows.

Nothing better than the "Knights" in script on those scarlet (not salmon) 70's Jerseys.

I'd take almost anything (except those shorts with the zigzag nonsense that Nebraska and I think Wisconsin have worn) over our current uniforms though.

For nostalgia purposes -- and perhaps to conjure up some spirits from across the river in the Barn -- I'm all for selective use of them. But definitely not regular jerseys. Maybe home games against Eastern teams, or, as someone suggested, home games against anyone we played back in the 1970s. It would be a fun change of pace and a reminder of what we once were.

I think it would be in very poor taste to wear the script Jerseys that Jordan wore, playing in the final 4, the year after we fired him. It should be shelved for a couple of years, IMHO
