The problem is Laviano. Plain and simple. Part of the reason why it looks like our OL are terrible in pass blocking is because our QB is really slow in making decisions and is unable to make average throws leading to the D to tee off on the OL. Realize that the OL and QB have to work as a unit. One of them failing will make both look bad.[/QUOT
I can't help but feel Hayden Rettig is the guy we need at QB... since none of us make the decision and don't have a right to make the decision I will support the player leading the huddle...Chris Laviano is in his 3rd game as a starter and like many other RU QB's over the years he lacks some intangibles ...arm strength being the main issue ...he also needs better decision making going forward ...had Leonte Carroo not been suspended I believe our vanilla type passing game would have been much better the past several games... when Carroo is able to get separation all the other options in the deep passing game get better...we have gotten good TE play which to most should be a good thing and most never thought it possible...having listened in the stands for many years to the fans whine about our QB's has made me laugh...Cubit, Hart, Teel , Dodd , Nova all had their warts and detractors in the stands and especially on this open board...with Laviano we will know for sure in about 5 weeks...
