Rutgers played 4 of the current top 7 and may end up having played 3 of 4 playoff teams if Clemson is upset. Next year may be no different.

We were a hell of a lot better team at the beginning of the season than the end. Having Grant alone made us much better.
But, it is what it is and I suspect we will be struggling next season too. We really need time and great recruiting to see the kind of team we all want.

I think that would be a mistake. While most of our draft-eligible players are certainly NFL ready, there are a few who are not.
Yeah. The schedule was so brutal this season that there was little chance of a bowl. Hopefully successful recruiting over the next few years will make it possible for us to compete at that level.

Scheduling out of conference foes with far more talent than Rutgers is a bad idea.Of course,schedules are made years ahead of time which complicates the process.The bottom line is getting to six wins with the competition in the B1G is going to be difficult and means future out of conference games must be more like Temple and BC than Washington .
