So I've said a few times here I am not as bullish as many on here in regards to what we are getting with Athan. I do believe he will equal the production of Gavin though passing + rushing which was 2232, although I think it will be more like a little less than 2100 yards passing and a little more than a hundred yards rushing, and say 13-15 passing TD. That with our defense and Monangai rushing will give us 8 wins, even 9 or 10 if we get a little lucky.
But what happens if he takes the next step and is significantly better? I mean he has thrown for 292 against Purdue, 315 against Wisconsin, so its not impossible. Here is a stat line I'm going to throw out: 2900 yards, 21 TD, 9 Int. How good can we with that level of production at QB? This is all hypothetical of course on a slow June Saturday.
