Music has always been a great salve for me in bad times :

---

I can read your mind and I know your story
I see what you're going through
It's an uphill climb, and I'm feeling sorry
But I know it will come to you
Don't surrender 'cause you can win

There is freedom within, there is freedom without
Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup
There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost
But you'll never see the end of the road

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but this may be the most feminine post I've ever seen here (hope that was pc enough).

Whatever, dude. I am ok being in touch with my feminine side. it's all good.

Here's a couple from my masculine side.

Someday I'll feel no pain
Someday I won't have a brain
They'll take away the part that hurts and let the rest remain

Close your eyes
And forget your name
Step outside yourself
And let your thoughts drain
As you go insane, insane

I Feel Like This Right Now..

But there is always hope...

Kaddish. Jewish prayer for the dead. More of a prayer than a song which is what we truly need right now.

Slayer is always a good choice to chase the blues away. LOL. My brother cannot understand how I can be so happy most of the time listening to Slayer, Metallica, Black Flag, Rollins Band, Corrosion of Conformity, Anthrax and legions of other hard rock and punk bands.

Love Slayer. Tom Araya gave me back stage passes at Madison Square Garden for the Clash of The Titans tour with Anthrax, Megadeth and Alice in Chains when Layne Staley was still alive. Always loved going to Roseland in the city to mosh.

Anything out there with the lyrics:

"some of us saw this coming but it still hurts like getting kicked in the nuts...twice"???

Alice in Chains - Down in a Hole

Down in a hole and they've put all the stones in their place
I've eaten the sun so my tongue has been burned of the taste
I have been guilty of kicking myself in the teeth
I will speak no more of my feelings beneath

Down in a hole, feeling so small
Down in a hole, losing my soul
I'd like to fly but my
Wings have been so denied

Whoever thought the marching band should play Hard Knock Life and other songs from Annie at half time should be marched double time out of the room where future halftimes are planned.

But for today I offer this. This is not the Shea era. We've played 3 legit top 5 teams. That is not our league. Lets see how the rest of the season plays out. The stats are a bewildering, but there are a lot of teams that we can compete against exploiting our strengths and their weaknesses. We have few strengths now when opponents have no weaknesses.

First of all lemme preface this by saying I'm a fan of the idea behind this thread. With that said, the best thing @dicemen99 about @Knight Shift's post (and the fact that you called it out as being way fem) is that he posted the wrong lyrics in the first song and instead of posting lyrics from Hornsby's song "The Way It Is" from the 80s, he posted lyrics from a CELINE DION song from the 2000s called "That's The Way It Is", hahaha! Can't believe nobody else picked up on this!!!!!!!!
