Wow. 1st time in awhile that I can recall only two Top 10 SEC teams in a preseason poll. I guess they have come back to the pack a bit even in the eyes of the media.

Where are all the posters claiming "no way" Washington would be ranked pre-season? This might be the first, but it won't be the last, mark my word. This is as difficult of an opener - both for thee season and Ash - as anyone could "hope" for.

Wow, we play 5 in the top 25. I say we beat Michigan State and Iowa. You heard it hear first. As an out.. has anyone seen my medication?

baptism by fire..... we will get a pretty good indication of what we have this year, one would think.

Let's not be so enamored with the PreSeason Top 25 Polls.
The following PAC 12 Teams were in last year's Top 25 Poll and finished nowhere close to the final Top 25:
UCLA , Arizona, Arizona State

Along with PreSeason Top 25ers : Arkansas , Georgia Tech,Missouri , and Boise St. they did not finish in the Top25.

We will catch Washington not ready for our Offense. Hello Mr. Grant, Mr. Patton, Mr. Hicks

we were 10 point dogs to Washington state out there and their fans were looking past us weeks before

Just as in that game, I can see us doing some damage to them they do not expect.

I was taking sh#t in the Parking Garage before the game from the WSU fans.
Can't wait to be on the Lake watching RU "surprise" the Huskies.

So what? I couldn't care less about teams we're NOT playing and neither should you, right? Washington finished #25th in Sagarin last year. They are a damn tough team, playing in one of the nation's best HFA's, with a damn good coach who is probably salivating over the thought of our completely inexperienced group of LB's.

This is going to be a very difficult game and comparing it to a game in which we had a 4th year starter at QB, and Leonte Carroo, is silly IMHO.

Patton?

And Washington St. finished last season 2 spots out of the Top 25 last year. A team that RU should should have beaten at home with Fudd at the helm. Don't get me wrong that Washington won't be easy ...but it certainly is not impossible the way your are making it seem.

I posted how difficult this game was gonna be, and got raked over the coals.

Hard to take a poll seriously that has UNC on it but not Rutgers , a team that we double up on 2 years ago.

When it comes to Washington, they have a sophomore QB and RB that should scare the RU D.
As for the Huskies D they lost some real good players but seem to have the type of replacements that will give RU's O problems.
Washington is going to be a challenging game for RU to win and would be the favorite even if itwas an RU home game.
RU's D , especially the pass defense, needs to play well or the Huskies will dominate .
Jake Browning is a good QB, but the Washington receiving corps is a question mark .
Myles Gaskin their sophomore RB is a good one as well, though the Huskies OL wasn't considered a strength in 2015, it gained needed experience and should be better in 2016.

Rutgers needs to shut Washington's sophomores QB & RB) and play a good all around game in order to come out with the win.

Just imagine the statement win it would be to start the Ash Era with a victory on the road against #21 in the nation. Our schedule is not easy but that's what we signed up for playing in the Big Ten. A lot of potential for upset across the board.
